Because we are all in the same water, vote, but vote smarter!
This is the slogan of the short film I realised for Cinecivic 2016. This contest has been organised by the Chancellerie d’Etat de Genève as well as the swiss french speaking district of Vaud, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and Bern. My film has been nominated with 9 others between 45 movies and screened in the Alhambra Theater in Geneva, with the presence of the swiss culture minister Alain Berset.
The film is about 30 secondes and promotes the action of voting. In order to participate at Cinecivic, you have to be under 25, living in a region organizing the contest and realize a movie (or a poster) under 90 secondes.
The first idea that came to me and Christian Haab, my brother, was to illustrate the action of voting with pissing in a swimming pool. Of course, nobody notice when you piss in a swimming pool, but it participates at the lack of hygiene in general. It is the same when we are voting for wrong causes. I wanted to turn this idea into something positive and simple.
